We are seeking an experienced Retail Director is responsible for overseeing and driving the overall success of the physical retail business in Japon, currently operating over 42 full price and outlet store locations in Shopping Malls and Department Stores and staffing 13 shop in shop locations through partners. • Develop growth strategy for physical retail business: o Identify new opportunities, expanding into new retail zones, markets and formats. Drive new innovative omni－channel or experiential retail strategies. o Develop strategic partnerships with corporate partners and internal teams （including Marketing ＆ Communications, Merchandising, E－Commerce, HR, Finance, Supply Chain） to ensure alignment in strategies and effective coordination and collaboration across. o Leverage existing network and build new relationships to drive business growth and leverage new opportunities • Plan and achieve retail business objectives: o Prepare the annual budget for each point of sale; develop timely sales forecasts, positive solutions and action plans to maximize store profits o Lead, inspire and motivate existing teams with standards of excellence. Hold direct responsibility for achieving the revenue budgeted and profit and loss （P＆L） expectations for the Retail channel. • Inspire, manage and develop the retail ＆ wholesales team: o This person will provide leadership to field teams and support them in developing personal and professional competencies. o Develop existing team by fostering a collaborative and high－performing team culture. o In partnership with HR, oversee team recruitment, training, evaluation and development. • Manage wholesale business including relationships with strategic business partners, department store executives. |
| 応募資格 |
【必須（MUST）】 • Japanese Retail Industry Knowledge, including shopping mall and department store business landscape, general operating principles, trends and strategies.• Physical retail store real estate trends for shopping mall, department stores and others. • Retail development business frameworks including relevant data and KPIs. • Prior experience in managing wholesale model retail businesses a plus. • 15＋ years of experience in an international retail leadership role for a premium retail brand, including 7＋ years of managerial experience and least 7＋ of direct P＆L responsibility. • Strategic thinking and negotiation skills, including the ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities and risks, and formulate effective strategies to drive business growth. • Organization planning and team motivation skills. • Business level English communication skills a must. As a visionary leader, this role will develop and implement strategic plans to fuel existing business growth by identifying innovative strategies to enhance the brand through physical retail presence and consumer experience by managing a team of individuals in the retail operations, business development and wholesale team. We is seeking a hands－on, yet strategic, individual to continue the mission to position we as a premium Brand in the cookware and lifestyle industry. As the person responsible for a team of area managers, over 130 retail staff, and a wholesales team, this person will inspire, motivate and drive new growth initiatives with the existing fleet retail store and teams. As an involved team player, the role will action with seamless coordination and alignment across multiple departments/areas/channels in Japan, the Asia Regional team and Global stakeholders. |
