You will be part of the Operations Team in Japan office which covers middle and back office functions for the Sub-advisory and Intermediary mandate operation, Investment Trust Management (ITM) operation, and Discretionary accounts operation. You will cover both client communication tasks and onboarding tasks, and BAU (Business As Usual) daily operational tasks as back up. You will be involved in local and international onboarding which impacts the Operations team in Japan, and you will handle day-to-day BAU Tasks, communicate with local trust banks, clients. In addition, you will provide oversights on local & international sourcing providers. We are seeking a candidate that can built positive relationships and drive for results in our business environment. The candidate’s main role will be to cover Project related tasks and client communication tasks. Client communication responsibilities • Build good relationships with clients • Handle customer inquiries and respond appropriately • Work with internal stakeholders especially the Japan sales team to solve difficult issues Onboarding responsibilities • Understand client requirements, structure of accounts/funds and liaise with internal stakeholders and outsourced agents • Structure the operational workflow, coordinate the account and set it up with the relevant parties • Make suggestions for further improvement of the current process BAU related responsibilities • Responsible for record keeping and statutory client reporting for onshore and offshore mandates • Control day-to-day operations for onshore and offshore mandates, including cash management, monitoring transactions, settlement, and reconciliation • Handle miscellaneous inquiries and trouble shooting • Prepare periodical regulatory reporting regarding discretionary mandates • Manage the Investment Trust Management (ITM) operation daily • Monitor and manage outsourcing vendors Projects/Initiatives/Change • Participate as Subject Matter Expert to various projects and initiatives related to or affecting the Japan TPLC team and make sure proper processes are defined for the team • Provide clear input & be vocal in meetings impacting the Trade Support activities or where Trade Support might affect other departments, teams or stakeholders • Propose improvements such as automation or process efficiency enhancements and work with other Transformation ‘ambassadors’ globally to drive these changes |
応募資格 |
【必須(MUST)】 • Higher education degree and 3 years’ experience in the financial or asset management industry• 1-3 years’ experience in onboarding-related tasks will be preferable • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication in Japanese and English is mandatory • Understanding of the full trade life cycle including awareness of middle and back office functions/processes and their touch points with the front office and downstream is a real plus • Past experience into driving local & international projects within the Operations area (internal & external stakeholder management) is a real plus • Understanding of offshore fund (Lux, Cayman) structures and processes is a real plus • Previous participations in projects or onboarding initiatives as subject matter expert (SME) • Flexible approach to changing client requirements and to changing the local and international market environment 【歓迎(WANT)】 • International experience (professional or personal) is a plusPersonality/ Soft Skills: • Driven personality & self-motivated • Creative and hands-on, ready to think outside the box and add input/challenge to improve existing workflows • Ability to resolve complex problems and delivery focused • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Client focused • Flexible to change and drive continuous changes in the processes and structure • Strong team player in Local, Regional and Global environments • Very rigorous and well organized |
