The Role: The incumbent will have responsibility for contributing to the onboarding of new funds in Japan and ensuring it successful implementation. The role will require significant local and global interaction across the asset management business. This role is also expected to provide operational support to the Japan Discretionary Investment Management （DIM） business and Investment Trust （when applicable）, serving as the local point of contact for the operational on‐boarding process, coordinating with the various teams locally and in the UK ＆ Luxembourg, engaging and overseeing the local service providers to ensure delivery of fund accounting services, supporting the delivery of client reporting, Statutory Fund Accounting reporting, and regulatory reporting （when required）, managing cash flow （subscription and redemption, distribution）, ensuring operational procedures are in place and up‐to‐date, and continuously identifying areas for process improvements. Key Work Level Accountabilities: Manager or Expert ・ For people managers, accountable for managing and motivating others to ensure quality of delivery to customers and stakeholders ・ For technical specialists, accountable for delivering expert advice or service, using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise ・ Applies judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluating a range of potential solutions, considering the impact for customers, cost and risk ・ Manages conflicts that may impact delivery ・ Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture ・ Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output ・ Manages resources and risks using expert judgment, know‐how and experience Key Responsibilities for this role: ・ Work closely （setting a “virtual” team） with local sales and global investment specialists, marketing, legal/compliance and act as an interface with the London office for clients onboardings, new fund launches and relevant inquiries from the clients. ・ Develop an efficient business partnership between the London office, the Luxembourg Management Company and Japan teams to guide and onboard the products for the country. ・ Drive implementation and delivery of new product development and management initiatives in Japan. ・ Collaborate with Asia and London Product team on key design elements of new products designed for global distribution including Japan （portfolio guidelines, share classes, fees, etc） ・ Follow product development initiatives in other regions or channels and determines applicability/benefit of these initiatives in Japan. ・ Track trends and developing a point of view in product development priorities from a Japan standpoint. ・ Advocate Japan product agenda, building consensus within the region. ・ Track key competitor activity and regulatory changes in Japan. Scoping out opportunities and identifying challenges/issues. ・ Address client queries on transactions such as subscriptions, redemptions, dividend payment, contract notes, statements, etc., leveraging on the wider Asia Client Services / Global Client Services teams’ support to ensure timely and accuracy responses to the clients. ・ Manage DIM accounts, facilitate client subscriptions/redemptions/drawdowns/distributions, and support creating reporting for those accounts. |
| 応募資格 |
【必須（MUST）】 Skills and Experience：・ 10 years related experience in the asset management industry with particular expertise in operations, investment product development, project management, applied across various pooled investment vehicles. Previous exposure to Japan/Asia product and fund regulation in asset management is a plus. ・ Credibility and proven ability to engage with senior managers across disciplines （portfolio management, distribution, product, marketing and operations） to discuss and facilitate the execution of strategic initiatives. ・ Good understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience managing and delivering new products and product changes within a large, highly complex, cross functional environment. Technical Knowledge： ・ A broad understanding of operational flows, fund schemes and investment management products. ・ Good understanding of Japan market for investment products and solutions across various channels. ・ Strong analytic ability and capacity to think strategically and creatively as it relates to product development and meeting Japan client needs. ・ Excellent influencing, interpersonal skills and comfort in working with people at all levels across all functions. ・ Ability to develop effective partnerships with key business partners, including Product, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Risk and Operations to support and deliver the product agenda. ・ Good project management skills with a demonstrated ability to identify and implement creative product and business solutions. ・ Excellent verbal and written communication skills including an ability to translate technical, operational and regulatory information into understandable terms. ・ Ability to get things done in a dynamic and fast paced environment. |
