仕事内容 AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Amazon Web Services seeks a Manager to lead a team of Technical Infrastructure Program Managers (TIPMs) to support data center infrastructure expansion. This Manager, through their team, will lead cross functional teams to deliver Data Center build projects, from inception through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

This leader drives the development and adoption of strategies in the region, initiates programs that address regional and global challenges and programs, coordinates and drives execution with local partner teams, removes obstacles during implementation, and reports progress and risks on all in-flight programs. This leader should be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. They are expected to become a voice of the region to influence new global initiatives and programs that will inform the next generation of Data Centers. This leader drives improvements in overall program execution, streamlines processes, and enhances efficiency. Successful candidates likely have a technical background in a technical discipline (architecture, engineering, or other sciences), have experience in project and program management of complex initiatives, are able to build trust and relationships with various stakeholders, and have strong problem solving skills. Experience in managing data center infrastructure deployments is a plus. Successful candidates are likely to be passionate, have no fear of constructive conflict, manage ambiguity well, and are eager to solve complex problems.

Candidates must be comfortable managing a team reporting to them located both locally and remotely. You will also interact and engage with matrixed project delivery teams across the globe. Successful candidates possess the ability to work with matrixed teams to troubleshoot project technical implementation issues and remove barriers to project success. Being able to lead cross-functional teams, establish trust with a variety of stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate non-value-add activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery is a must.

Successful candidates are fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of a project's lifecycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking.

This position requires 10% domestic travel (trips to local AWS Data Center Clusters) and 5% international travel.
