仕事内容 [Responsibilities]
Smoothly manage global organizational operations with overseas (European and US) companies, particularly negotiations and handling of partnership projects such as licenses and M&A (native-level or higher English skills are required).

[Job Description]
- Legal consulting support for business divisions, management divisions, and group companies (drafting and reviewing contracts and consulting on general corporate legal matters)
- Participating in projects related to corporate alliances such as M&A, license introduction and implementation projects, and other cross-border transaction contracts (including contract negotiations)
- Responding to risks such as legal troubles, including lawsuits
労働条件 Full-time employee, with 6 month trial period
※The contract period can be negotiated (contract employment is also possible).
position&roles:Legal Department, Contract Group, Staff~Manager (Managerial)

Work location: Head office (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo)
Working hours: *Super flex system implemented.
Work 3 hours between 7:00 and 20:00 (no core time, regular working hours: 7 hours 40 minutes)
*Hybrid work is promoted: Come to the office 1-3 days a week. Full remote work is not currently possible.
*Other systems are available for short-time work for childcare and short-time work for elderly care.

Expected annual salary (as guideline): 8 million yen ~ 25 million yen
*Annual salary will be considered based on the individual's age, ability, experience, and duties.

Paid leave: 15-20 days depending on years of service,

応募資格

【必須(MUST)】

[Required skills and experience]
[Essential requirements]
- Experience working in corporate law as an in-house lawyer (8 years or more), or experience working as a lawyer in corporate law at a law firm (lawyer qualification not required)
- Experience in corporate alliance cases such as M&A, business/stock transfers, joint venture establishment, and in- and out-licensing agreements
- Experience working in legal affairs in the life sciences business (especially pharmaceutical companies are welcome)
- Experience in litigation, disputes, and risk management
- Experience working at a Japanese company (or its foreign subsidiary) (welcome)

[Language requirements]
- Native level or higher English proficiency (able to handle contract negotiations in English without any problems) [must]
- Japanese proficiency is not required, but some level of Japanese proficiency is preferred
*Part of the first and final interviews may be conducted in English.
